Delmarva is obviously surrounded by water, and for boaters, that’s a great thing.
But where you keep your boat can make a big difference when it comes time to go boating. You want it to be at a location that is easy to access various bodies of water.

Mike Debelius says a lot has changed for him and his wife since taking up residency on their boat at Castle Harbor Marina. It’s been two years since Mike sold their house, bought a boat, and decided to live on the water. Mike says the staff at the marina is great and if you need something, they stop what they are doing, and come help you.
Betsy Neitzey, property manager at Castle Harbor Marina, says boaters like to set sale from their location because there’s so many different destinations from which they can choose. Betsy says Rock Hall, St. Michaels, Annapolis and Baltimore are within distance and make for the perfect day trip.
Rob Riep and Debbie Kingery are beginning their third year of living on the “Missy.” They say the staff at Castle Harbor Marina make them feel like they’re a part of one big family.
“They actually care and that makes a big difference,” Debbie says.

Rob and Debbie say living on their boat is not only a quiet and peaceful lifestyle, it’s also affordable.
“It’s inexpensive and everyday you wake up to a sunrise,” Rob says.
Castle Harbor Marina provides boat slips for whatever lifestyle boaters choose. Slip rentals can be transient, on a weekend, week, or monthly basis, seasonal, or yearly. Boaters who have one of the 347 slips have access to the facilities here such as an Olympic size swimming pool, hot tub, bath houses, saunas, internet access, fuel docks and free pump outs. Castle Harbor Marina is also safe with a key card security gate entrance and a well protected basin.
Dining options just outside of the gate include Sado’s, which is known for having the best sushi on Kent Island, and The Pour House.
Mike says him and his wife enjoy taking week long cruises and when they get back to shore, he takes comfort in knowing that he doesn’t have to cut grass. He can just sit back, relax, and enjoy living on the water.
