An invasive species known for destroy grapes, peaches, timber, and other commercial crops has been confirmed in New Castle County.
The Spotted Lanternfly isn’t native to North America but was found in Pennsylvania in 2014. People started finding it in Delaware last year. DelmarvaLife’s Katie Zarrilli spoke with Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey Coordinator Stephen Hauss for the Delaware Department of Agriculture about why this insect is so detrimental and how you can help to not let it spread any further.
