In today’s One Tank Trip segment, Sean explores Onancock, Va. in a shiny, red Jeep Wrangler.
Dana Smith, general sales manager at Hertrich of Pocomoke hooked us up with one sweet ride. It’s a 2016 Jeep Wrangler four-dour soft top – the perfect off-road vehicle and everyday vehicle.
Onancock is located on the bay side of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. It’s about a 30-40 minute drive from Pocomoke. If you’ve never been to Onancock, a great place to start is the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society, which is located in an old plantation known as the Ker Place.
“They can come and just understand and appreciate and discover the Eastern shore of Virginia history. That’s sort of what we try to be as the go to place for our community and anyone else that’s interested in this history,” says Hilary Hartnett-Wilson, executive director of the historical society.
Onancock is an awesome place to go kayaking and bird watching. If you’re lucky, you can always see a few dolphins.
