As a child, getting lost in a great book was an adventure.
The characters were real, and if you ever had the opportunity to meet the characters in a favorite book, that was a big deal. Children on Delmarva have that exact opportunity, and it’s all thanks to the inaugural Children’s Book Festival in Sussex County.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Milton Public Library. This is a free event, at which children can meet authors, illustrators, and main characters from some of their favorite books, but that’s just the start of the fun! There will also be live story and many more activities for the entire family. Have fun!
