Sharee Coleman, Vice President of Marketing from Sussex County Federal Credit Union, says they came up with the idea to “pay it forward” because they thought Delmarva needed a little more holiday cheer.
Outreach Initiatives:
- Sussex County Federal Credit Union Foundation – Help with charitable initiatives throughout the community, give out scholarships
- Clothing Our Kids – Keep kids of Delmarva warm through the winter
- Operation We Care – Collect personal items that locally deployed soldiers need overseas
- Ronald McDonald House – Collect pop tabs to help the families at Ronald McDonald House
Sean and Jeff Murphy, from SCFCU, meets up with mother and her daughter on the way to a dentist visit. She says the $150 gift card means a lot and they will use it to finish Christmas shopping. The SCFCU has given away $900 this holiday season in their “Pay It Forward Campaign.”
