SALISBURY, Md.- Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland welcomed its first baby of the year at 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2017 with the birth of little Beethoven Forestal.

He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. Parents Redeline and Faustin Forestal of Salisbury say their daughter Danie and son Edson are excited to have a baby brother.

Along with a memorable birthday, Beethoven received a basket of beautiful baby items, including clothes, a

handmade blanket and toys as a gift from the Junior Auxiliary Board. President Donna Anderson presented the

basket on behalf of the Junior Board.

The Junior Auxiliary Board, in 2017, is celebrating its 93rd year of service to the physicians, staff and

volunteers of PRMC and the people of the Delmarva Peninsula. Since 1924, it has donated more than $8 million to expansion projects, medical equipment, supplies and services at the hospital.
