Dover Pools:

Sean stopped by Dover Pools to learn simple steps that can heave your pool looking great all summer long. Jim Napolitano from Dover Pools, says that a pool holds the water but your filters and chemicals are what keeps your water clear.

Jim talks about the steps when opening your pool up for the summer:

  • Remove cover
  • Check water level – if it is low, fill it up
  • Run the filter for at least 24 hours to circulate it
  • Be sure your filter is running properly & is leak free
  • Take a water sample to the professionals for testing

Jim says once you have good levels, run your filter daily, keep your pool clean, and keep up with your chemicals, you should be good to go all summer long.

Angie’s List:

Angie says a pre-fabricated shed could be a good choice if you are looking for something small and they are less expensive. However, Angie says they may not be as durable as a shed built on site. A professional will ensure your shed is built on a steady foundation and is built to last. Be sure your builder uses treated lumber, galvanized nails, and 25 year shingles to ensure your shed lasts for many years to come.

A metal shed is good for yard tools, but a wood shed is more attractive. A well-built wood shed adds value to your home and a vinyl shed will often an even better turn on investment. Be sure to check with your homeowner’s association to be sure they’re allowed. Also, check that your city, county, or township to see if a permit needs to be pulled in order to build a shed.
