After nearly 40 years of teaching African American history at Salisbury University, our Delmarva Treasure, Dr. Clara Small is not slowing down. In November the retired professor released her third book, “Compass Points: Profiles and Biographies of African Americans from the Delmarva Peninsula, Vol. I.”
Dr. Small is originally from North Carolina, but took the teaching position at Salisbury University because of the rich African American history on Delmarva. It’s history, she says that she continues to uncover.
Dr. Small will be available for book signings Thursday, February 11th at 7 p.m. at Wor-Wic Community College. Click here for more information.
Another book signing takes place Friday, February 13th at Germantown School Community Heritage Center in Berlin.
