WBOC Chief Meteorologist, Dan Satterfield, tells Jimmy and Lisa about building a scale solar system model. Dan made a scale model of the solar system on the beach to illustrate how far Pluto is away from the other planets.
Dan said this summer, they are flying a probe near Pluto for the first time. Dan said that Pluto is a minor planet, meaning it doesn’t fit the classification of the other planets.
