The Sewell C. Biggs Museum of American Art Museum in Dover, Del. houses a great collection of American fine and decorative arts. It also features both historical and contemporary art changing exhibits. Its newest exhibit, Illuminating the Word, The Saint John’s Bible exhibit, displays the first hand-illuminated bible to be commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in over 500 years. A team of 23 artists and calligraphers worked for 15 years to complete the project that will be on display at the Biggs Museum from Dec. 4, 2015 – Mar. 27, 2016.
