FootBall

Football season is just weeks away and teams are already hitting the practice field, including the group of high school athletes called, FCA Bucks Athletics. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield visited the team to see how the players inspire each other on and off the field.

It’s back-to-school time! If you are a parent with a student heading back to the classroom, you may be rushing around trying to get all the back-to-school supplies together. Something you may want to add to your list that will make that first day of class a good one, is a trip to About Faces Day Spa and Salon in Salisbury. Lisa stopped by the salon to learn more.

WICO-EQUESTRIAN

Plenty of young people on Delmarva grew up riding horses. For sixty years, members of the

Combined Eastern Shore Horse Shows

host equestrian events all across Delmarva and hold horse shows at the

Wicomico Equestrian Center

in Salisbury. 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus recently stopped by the center and found out that hosting these events are not all the team does. They also give back to the community.

Gospel music can be traced back to the early 17th century. Hymns and sacred songs were often repeated in a call and response fashion. Today, gospel music varies according to culture and social context, but it’s core remains spiritual. Here on Delmarva, a group is keeping gospel music alive.

Delmarva Gospel Music Association

President, Jim Collins, stops by Historic Studio D to tell us more about the association and their upcoming event. There is a concert coming up on Friday, August 24, featuring the
