Bob Carey, executive director of Delmarva Teen Challenge and Bruce Dawson, graduate and now intern with the program, join us on the couches to talk about Delmarva Teen Challenge. The program helps those who have been affected by issues like anger, rebellion, depression, drug/alcohol abuse and other life controlling problems. They have an an event coming up this weekend. The 8th Annual Delmarva Teen Challenge Crab Feast and Watermelon Extravaganza is Saturday, Aug. 27 at Cypress Point at Trap Pond State Park. Gates open at 3 pm and tickets are $30. “The Reminders” will be performing at the Delmarva Teen Challenge event so they join us on the show to give us a preview.
The folks on Delmarva like launching produce hundreds, if not thousands of feet in the air. Sean helps launch a watermelon and gives us more information about an upcoming event taking place Aug. 27 – The Great American Watermelon Blast. Tickets are being sold for $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Sussex County Home Buyer Fair is coming up on Sept. 24 from 9 am – 1 pm at Delaware Tech, Owens Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
