Today on DelmarvaLife:

The White Marlin Open kicked off today in Ocean City, but that’s just one tradition on the water that many of us on Delmarva treasure. Log canoe racing is another. Have you been fortunate enough to check it out? Now, you can read about it, too. We sit down with the chief curator of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels to learn more about the new book Tradition, Speed and Grace: Chesapeake Bay Sailing Log Canoes. It’s a book we think you’ll want to add to your summer reading list.

We’re learning about an incredible resource for the deaf, hard of hearing, and blind population on Delmarva. The team at the Deaf Independent Living Association, or DILA, works to ensure that community is prepared, no matter what life throws their way. We’ll hear how they’re doing that, and learn more about an upcoming conference aimed at helping the community DILA serves.

Think about the one thing that can totally transform the look of a room. That’s pretty easy, right? The floor. These days, the possibilities, really are, endless. From colors, to textures, to brands – you name it. 102.5 WBOC‘s Corey Phoebus stops by Value Carpet One in Salisbury to get the scoop on some of the styles that can really take your home to the next level. He’ll also test one option’s durability, with a little red wine.
How about boosting that bank account? It can be as easy as paying close attention to the men and women featured in today’s Most Wanted Monday, and calling-in a tip on their whereabouts. We’ll show you this week’s list, and get an update on recent captures. If you recognize anyone featured on today’s list of Most Wanted Monday, call Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776.

Supporting local law enforcement also means supporting the crime-fighting K-9s on Delmarva. We’ll get a very visual lesson on what these brave dogs in blue, do. Plus, hear how you can support them at the upcoming “Ales for Tails” event.
