Today on DelmarvaLife:
As bad as addiction is, many people facing it have still managed to find hope. The Delmarva Adult & Teen Challenge program in Seaford has helped many men take control over their lives and support them in their fight against life-controlling issues, such as drugs and alcohol. The program has recently branched out to help women in their fight against addiction also with the Home of Hope program in Bridgeville, DE. Shelley Spedden, development director of which is now called the Delmarva Adult and Teen Challenge and Reverend James Penuel III from Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville, DE provide us with an update on the facility and tells us more about the upcoming second annual Drive Home Hope Golf Tournament. When a local talent makes it big, we always make sure that there is room for them to perform here on the Mid South Audio Stage. We’re honored to have country music group Southern Justis from Seaford, DE performing two original songs for us today. One of the original songs will be their debut single Better Off, which has recently reached 10,000 streams on Spotify.
Taking the time to go to a museum is both a learning experience and a fun time for the family. The Delmarva Discovery Museum in Pocomoke City, MD has provided visitors with background history of the entire peninsula of Delmarva for 10 years and counting. Today, DelmarvaLife’s Lisa Bryant takes a trip to the museum to see what’s new and what’s in store for the future.
