Researcher Tamara Jubilee-Shaw tells us about this important part of history – not just on Delmarva, but on a national scale.
In a time when inequality and the fight for social justice were taking place in Maryland, a man named Paul Henderson was there to capture it all. As a photojournalist, Henderson captured thousands of candid shots from the 1930s to the 1960s. As Black History Month continues, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore has some of those photographs on display. DelmarvaLife’s Sydney Whitfield visited UMES’ Mosely Gallery to get a preview.
