This Crowd-Pleasing Brisket doesn’t require a ton of fuss. There’s no seasoning rub or long hours in a smoker required. Plus, since it’s made with our own easy throw-together sauce, you better believe the flavors are bold! This melt-in-your-mouth brisket recipe is the perfect meal for any holiday, get-together, or anytime you feel like treating yourself. It’s so easy and so flavorful, the crowd will think you worked all day!
What You’ll Need
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup prepared mustard
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 (4- to 4-1/2-pound) brisket of beef
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a large roasting pan with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Remove 1 cup of sauce to a small bowl and add water to it; mix well and pour into pan
- Place brisket in pan and pour the remaining sauce over meat. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Roast 3 to 3-1/2 hours or until meat is fork-tender. Remove from pan and let rest 5 minutes before carving across the grain. Serve topped with pan drippings.
