Patty Grimes, executive director of The Freeman Stage, joins Jimmy and Lisa to talk about the venue and summer events

Executive Director of The Freeman Stage at Bayside, Patty Grimes, stops by to tell us about the mission behind the outdoor performing arts venue in Selbyville, and some upcoming shows. The Freeman Stage is a program of the Josh M. Freeman Foundation. Patty tells us it’s all about providing cultural experiences to the public, something Josh Freeman, the former chair of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, held very close to his heart. After Freeman’s untimely death in December 2006, the Josh M. Freeman Foundation was created in his honor. Now, more than 50-thousand people visit the venue annually, to see acts such as Grace Potter, The Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma, A Comedy of Errors, Gladys Knight and many more.
