As we head into summer, and schools let out, it’s that time of year when teenagers everywhere are itching to ditch mom and dad and take a trip with friends, but before parents say yes, there are some things to consider. Attorney Kelly Dunn Gelof, managing partner of the Tunnell Raysor Law Firm sits down with Jimmy and Lisa to discuss what parents should know, and discuss with their children before letting them pack their bags and head out for the summer.

When walking by someone’s home, have you ever literally stopped and smelled, and maybe admired, the roses? How about an entire garden? Well, for one day in Lewes, visitors will be able to stop at homes and admire beautiful gardens during the town’s 27th Annual Lewes Garden Tour. Lisa visits the historic town to get a preview of this weekend’s event.

After admiring the gardens, maybe your eyes head to the sky, and this time of year there’s certainly a lot to see. However, as Dave Wilson, with

told us this time of year it is very important to look, but not touch. Dave told us about many of the colonial nesting birds that are protected along the peninsula, and how we can continue to look out for their safety this summer.

If you’re looking for a fun weekend activity that also helps a great cause, then look to Milford. Jimmy and Lisa talk with representatives from the Milford Relay For Life who tell us about their big upcoming event. This Friday, the town will be celebrating 20 years of working alongside Relay For Life! The events kick off on Friday, June 16 at 6 p.m. with a survivor honorary lap and reception, then at 7 p.m. the Relay For Life 5k race will commence. More activities will follow into the evening, and the official event will end the next morning at 6 a.m.

Finally, Jimmy and Lisa sit down with local artist, Glenn Linton, who told us about his passion for stone sculpting that has been with him since he was a boy. He shows Jimmy and Lisa just what it takes to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art, down to the very details.
