We are honored to welcome Actors Michael O’Leary and Grant Aleksander to Historic Studio D. Michael and Grant starred in “Guiding Light,” the longest running drama in television history. They will tell us about the world premiere of Breathing Under Dirt, a stage play written by Michael. The Lower Shore Performing Arts Company is presenting the play at the Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne. Happy Birthday to Beebe Healthcare! The healthcare system is celebrating 100 years of service! Beebe has many events planned to celebrate, including a free seminar, entitled “Self Empowerment!” The event’s keynote speaker is Carla Markell, the first lady of Delaware. The event takes place on Saturday, July 2, at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes. Those who are interested, must register to attend. Here are a couple of pictures of the hospital, then and now:
