What’s Happening Today – June 17, 2016

We check in with Sean Streicher, who is having fun at the Firefly Music Festival. Yesterday, he was throwing pies and playing games with festival goers. See what he gets into today!

Everyone could use a little inspiration now and then. We all have those days when we just feel a little down. One Sussex County teenager has recognized that fact, and he’s done something about it. Chase Marvil, of Greenwood, has created “The Inspiring Project.” It’s a campaign designed to make people feel better about themselves. Another goal of the campaign is to reduce the number of those who are bullied or have suicidal thoughts. Chase says anyone can take part in the campaign and help others feel better about themselves. It’s simple – just make people feel like they are worth something.

We have another edition of “Pet Connect.” Jimmy and Lisa introduce us to another batch of cats and dogs on Delmarva that need a loving home. Here are the cuties we feature today:

It’s almost time for the OC Air Show! WBOC Multimedia Journalist Lauren Holloway joins us today to preview the air show, and to discuss her experience flying on Screamin’ Sasquatch, a 1929 Taperwing Waco bi-plane.

Sean Streicher gets a good meal, with a great view! He visits The Lighthouse Dewey Beach and Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant in Dewey Beach, both just steps away from the beautiful Hyatt Place Dewey Beach. It won’t be hard to figure out why patrons keep coming back year after year. Familiar faces and fabulous food – what more could a person want?!
