Today, our DelmarvaLife Small Town Series shines the spotlight on the town of Chincoteague.

We can’t talk about Chincoteague without highlighting an organization that’s been a staple in the community for almost a century. DelmarvaLife’s Katie Zarrilli shows us why this the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company lives up to it’s motto: “Service for Others.”

For many, the thought of Chincoteague conjures up images of the beautiful wild ponies but, there are other draws to the island. Lisa visited the island to learn its history and find out how the Historic Main Street Merchants of Chincoteague work to keep visitors coming back for more year round.

Vacationers love Chincoteague Island for its beauty, especially the water views. WBOC’s Heidi Werosta checks out the Island Resort where there’s not a bad view because every room faces the water.

If camping is more of your thing, whether it be tent camping, trailer camping, or glamping then you’ll want to check out Chincoteague Island KOA. DelmarvaLife’s Katie Zarrilli visits the campground to see all the amenities that will make your camping experience one you’ll never forget.
