It’s summer vacation time with the family. It’s fun, memorable and much-needed – until those awkward situations arise. Who picks up the check? Who’s responsible for cleaning the kitchen? Who gets to take their shower first? Our etiquette expert, Grace Foxwell Murdock, joins us to help make all of those situations crystal clear. She shares a few family vacation do’s and don’t’s.

The Saltwater Lacrosse Club joins us on the show! 102.5 WBOC’s Corey Phoebus learns about how their talent and tenacity have really paid off. Corey also gets a mini lacrosse lesson.
Owner Chris Agharabi from Ava’s Pizzeria and Wine Bar in St. Michaels joins us in the Kirby and Holloway Kitchen. We’re making a Caesar salad with homemade dressing, Nawlins BBQ Shrimp and Shrimp Fra’diavolo.
Caesar Salad with a homemade blender dressing
Make a base with anchovy, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon and a little Dijon mustard. Whir in the blender. Add olive oil blend and emulsify. Once it is very thick, add Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.
Nawlins BBQ Shrimp Sear Shrimp then add lemon, black pepper and chopped garlic, parsley, green onion. Deglaze with Worcestershire sauce and/or Lyons Coconut Rum. Reduce until you see big bubbles. Add 3 tbsp of butter and serve with Ava’s bread.
Shrimp Fra’diavoloSear capers, add shrimp and red pepper flakes (to taste). Add garlic, deglaze with white wine. Add fresh tomato and basil and pasta. Mount with butter and parsley.
