A Delaware woman who experienced the horrors of World War II has written a memoir. In
, Jennie Liston depicts events in war-torn Germany seen through the eyes of a child, running from bombs and the horrors of WWII, adjusting to a new life as an immigrant in America, and facing the struggles and challenges of her childhood and adolescence. Jennie exposes the reality of her relationships, the agony of separation from a spouse fighting in Vietnam, and the difficulties of dealing with a returning stranger who has seen death all around him. Jennie reveals to Jimmy and Lisa what it was like to put her story into words, and what inspired her to write the book.
