As Coronavirus swept across the nation, restaurants were forced to shut their doors to customers. Instead, they had to rely on carry out and delivery services to keep them afloat. As some restrictions are lifted, it begs the question, will restaurants be able to go back to how they were before? We talk with Scott Kammerer, Chairman of the
Delaware Restaurant Association
, to discuss where the local restaurant industry stands and how we can help small businesses who might not make it.
Most of us are spending time, ok… a lot of time at home but, that doesn’t mean we can’t make our nights productive and fun. A new online program is launching to support women whose businesses shut down because of the pandemic, it’s called “Girls Nite in Online.” We talk with Mauria Stein of Stuart Kingston in Rehoboth Beach, to discuss how the program works. Plus, she’s giving us a sneak peek of some of her beautiful jewelry!
As we spend all this time at home, maybe you’re thinking it’s time to tackle some projects. Maybe like replacing all that old furniture that’s been sitting in your house? Look no further than Furniture & More, located in both Delaware and Maryland. We talk with Deborah Thompson, Manager of Furniture & More, to hear all about the store’s sale!
The Salisbury University Children’s Choir isn’t letting a pandemic stop them from using their voices. The choir has been rehearsing and practicing on Zoom since March. They’re now virtually singing in sync. We talk with Conductor, Alice Wigfield and Executive Director, Louise Anderson, to find out how the choir is conducting their rehearsals and how the kids are holding up. Plus, they’re performing a song for us!
This year, students across the country, both high school and college, didn’t get to put on a cap and gown and walk across a stage. We talk with WBOC Digital Director, Ethan Holland and 102.5 WBOC FM, April Brilliant, to walk us through the website and what it means to have these seniors recognized.
