Today on DelmarvaLife:
Today is Giving Tuesday. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
One non-profit organization that actually launched today is the “Team Surfgimp Charitable Foundation.” It was inspired by Milton’s Jay Liesener, who passed away early yesterday. A trampoline accident in 1989 left Jay paralyzed, but with his “Team Surfgimp,” he was able to get back into the water and onto his surfboard. The Team Surfgimp Charitable Foundation raises funds to help people with disabilities participate in physical activities.
Athletes Serving Athletes and Women Supporting Women are two other local charitable organizations participating in Giving Tuesday through the Shore Gives More program.

Salisbury’s Brandon Havas join Lisa and Jimmy on the couch to talk about his battle with Crohn’s Disease. After getting a diagnosis six years ago, Brandon decided to help educate people and try to break down a stigma attached to the disease. Brandon has an Instagram called “Crohnspro_RoadtoRecovery.”
Jimmy got the opportunity to play the Yamaha Disklavier Player Grand Piano on the Mid South Audio Stage today. Mike Mixon of Keyboard America in Lewes gave a demonstration on how the piano works and how you can fill your home with the beautiful sounds of the piano this holiday season, even if you are limited on keyboard talent.
Dancers from the Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre also performed on the Mid South Audio Stage ahead of their 27th annual performance of The Nutcracker.
Performances are December 1 – 3 at Wicomico High School Auditorium.
Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday matinée performances are at 2 p.m.
