You want your little ghouls and goblins to have fun this Halloween, but the holiday can be dangerous if you don’t take some precautions. From stranger danger, to being visible in the dark, spooky night, we tell you how to make sure everyone stays safe and sound this Halloween.
Halloween can be downright miserable if part of your costume puts you at risk for a serious infection. Catherine Smoot-Haselnus, M.D., a board-certified ophthalmologist, with Chesapeake Eye Center, tells us about the dangers of colored, decorative eye contacts. Dr. Smoot says, if you want to go that route, visit your eye care provider to get an appropriate fit and a legal prescription.
Perhaps you’re still a bit baffled as to what you’re going to dress up as this Halloween. A little makeup, and a touch of creativity, can go a long way. Our friends at About Faces Day Spa and Salon can help. They research the trends and come up with some of the hottest looks of the Halloween season. We’ll show you one of them.
We’re also seeing to it that your four-legged family members stay safe this Halloween. Dr. Elizabeth Bruce, the medical director with the Veterinary Medical Center in Easton, stops by to share a few tidbits you’ll want to keep in mind as your doorbell rings Tuesday night. It’s a game we like to call “terrible or treat.” If you don’t have a four-legged friend to look after, we’re taking care of that today, too.

What would a Halloween show be without a little messy fun? 102.5 WBOC‘s Corey Phoebus and DelmarvaLife Facebook Live Host, Lauren Hitch, go head-to-head, literally, in what we are calling an “egg-cellent” game. Let’s see who wins bragging rights!
