We learned at a young age how important it is to floss your teeth. New research suggests flossing is no longer necessary, but one expert wants you to reconsider. Dr. Leigh Auchey, a dentist with Delmarva Dental Services stops by the studio to tell us more.

If your child is sick and in the hospital for a long period of time, the hospital bills, hotel stays, and food can add up. That’s where the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware comes in to help those families. Laura Marek tells us that the Ronald McDonald organization provides meals, transportation, and support services at no charge to the family. The Ronald McDonald House helps 2,200 families each year with 26% being from Sussex County, Del. Their 5th annual 5k is Sept. 17 at 8:30 am.
It’s our job to keep Delmarva beaches looking beautiful. There are many selfless volunteers who make it their mission to keep the beach clean. Sean spent some time with volunteers this past weekend who participated in the International Coastal Clean Up day in Ocean City, Md. The cleanup efforts will continue year-round thanks in part to the Ocean City Surf Club, and their “Adopt Your Beach” program.
Lt. Tim Robinson with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has a new list of most wanted for us. See today’s Most Wanted Monday here.
Weddings can be costly. Flowers alone can run into thousands of dollars, but we learn about a less expensive way to decorate the chapel and reception hall – rent the flowers. Jackie Cassidy, with Jackie’s Flowers, tells us all about this family business and her passion for creating floral arrangements.
