Fluorescent orange requirement: Archery hunters are required to wear fluorescent orange when the Deer Muzzleloader Season, Deer Firearm Season or Junior Deer Hunt is open in the deer management region where they are hunting. Archery hunters in Allegany and Garrett counties are required to wear fluorescent orange when the Black Bear Season is open.

Junior Hunt for hunters aged 16 or younger only. Must be accompanied by a licensed (or exempt) unarmed adult age 21 or older.
Sunday turkey hunting: On private lands in Calvert, Caroline, Charles, and St. Mary’s county, junior hunters may hunt on Sunday, April 17. On private and public lands in Dorchester county, junior hunters may hunt on Sunday, April 17. On private and designated public lands in Allegany, Garrett and Washington counties, junior hunters may hunt on Sunday, April 17.
