Dan is a native of Oklahoma, and has worked as an on-air meteorologist in Orlando, Florida, Oklahoma, and most recently in Huntsville, Ala.

Seven months later, he spent two weeks on top of the Greenland ice sheet where scientists were recovering an ice core that will provide climate change information back 130,000 years!

Forecasting the weather is Dan's job, but sharing the wonders of all of the Earth sciences with students is his passion. Dan has been married to wife Marian for 28 years and has two children.
