Halloween Weekend Celebration at DE State Parks

DOVER, Del. – Campsites are available this weekend for special programs at Lums Pond State Park in Bear and Killens Pond State Park in Felton.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources says at Killens Pond State Park there will be a Halloween Weekend Celebration Oct. 24 and 25. Families are welcome to make scarecrows, wear costumes, decorate campsites, and take hayrides and hikes.

There will be prizes for various categories and families are welcome to stay the night in the campground.

Up in Lums Pond State Park, the Halloween Hoot takes place Sat., Oct. 25 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. All are welcome. Campers are admitted for $3, all others pay $5.

From 2:00-5:00 p.m. families can face-paint, paint pumpkins, do crafts, play games, take hayrides, and listen to music. There will be food throughout the day.

At night there will be a costume parade to go trick-or-treating, a concert and campfire.
