WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. - The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said a man they had been looking for in connection to a felony theft has been arrested.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Gary Hurwitz was arrested after an anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers. Police said he had bought a bus ticket to Columbus, Ohio.
On June 12, authorities said they had an arrest warrant out for Hurwitz on felony theft charges. The Sheriff's Office said they believed those charges are connected to either one of two incidents. According to the Sheriff's Office, Hurwitz may have allegedly sold a product that didn't belong to him or he was hired and paid to perform work that wasn't completed.
Hurwitz is currently in the custody of the Columbus Police Department and is awaiting extradition back to Maryland.
