MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police have identified the 61-year-old woman who died in a crash Thursday afternoon, as Penny G. Lewis, of Frankford, Del.

Police said it happened shortly before 4 p.m., when a 2008 Ford F150 was traveling eastbound on Daisey Road and approaching a moderate right curve. The driver, a 61-year-old Frankford woman, was transported to Penninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., where she succumbed to her injuries.  Her name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.

Daisey Road in the area of Sand Hill Lane was closed for approximately three and a half hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.

The crash continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
