Two Arrested After Guns, Heroin Seized in Wicomico County Raid

PARSONSBURG, Md.- Two men are facing weapon and drug charges following a Wicomico County Sheriff's Office raid on their Parsonsburg home. 

The Sheriff's Office said that last month, its Office Community Action Team conducted an investigation into Edward Allen Romero, 30, and 2. Trent Michael Pauley, 21, possessing illegal firearms at their home located on the 7300 block of Walston Switch Road in Parsonsburg. 

The Sheriff’s Office said it had received several nuisance complaints about Romero and Pauley possessing firearms, shooting them in unsafe directions, and having a lot of vehicle traffic at their home.

Detectives learned that Romero and Pauley are both disqualified from possessing firearms based on previous criminal convictions. As a result of the investigation, a search and seizure warrant was obtained for the residence.

The search warrant was executed by the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team on July 31. R

 

omero and Pauley were both located inside of the home and detained without incident.

Detectives said they l ocated a .380 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun with a partially obliterated serial number, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, and a Remington .22 caliber rifle.

Detectives said they also located an amount of heroin indicative of distribution inside the home. An abundance of paraphernalia consistent with packaging heroin for distribution was located inside of the home, according to investiators

Romero was charged with: 

  • Possession with the intent to distribute heroin
  • Possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime.
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon 
  • Possession of heroin

Pauley was charged with: 

  • Possession with the intent to distribute heroin
  • Possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime
  • Possession of a firearm after a conviction of a disqualifying crime as a juvenile
  • Possession of heroin

Both Romero and Pauley were originally held without bond but later released on a $50,000 unsecured bond after a bond review.
