Salisbury Pair Charged With Murder of Caroline County Man

SALISBURY, Md.– Maryland State Police and officers from the Salisbury Police Department have arrested two suspects in the death of a 28-year-old Caroline County man. Twenty-five-year-old Leslie Teo and 27-year-old Drequan Savage, both from Salisbury, were taken into custody Wednesday night.

The two are charged with first- and second-degree murder of Gerald Nash.  Nash was found with an apparent gunshot wound after the Salisbury Police Department responded to a call to the 600 block of Hill Street shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

EMS personnel also responded and Nash was taken to Tidal Health Peninsula General. He underwent treatment there until he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is pending at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

Both Teo and Savage are being held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center. Police believe they were assisted by one additional unknown suspect. According to police, the initial investigation indicates they plotted to rob Nash of items Savage believed that Nash stole from him.

A search is currently underway for the third suspect. Anyone who has information relating to the murder or has information about the third suspect is urged to contact Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776; or Maryland State Police at 410-749-3101; or the Salisbury City Police Department at 410-548-3165.
