Meteorologist
Mike Lichniak joined the WBOC Storm Tracker Weather Team in February of 2013.
A native of Connecticut, Mike decided to go to one of the hardest places to forecast weather to earn his degree. He graduated with a bachelor of science in meteorology from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vt., in May of 2009.
Mike continued his fascination for forecasting mountain weather by starting his TV career at WOAY-TV in southern West Virginia. After working there, his pull to the ocean and his childhood dream of living on Delmarva could not be contained anymore.
Mike is a full member of the American Meteorological Society and is working toward getting his seal from the organization.
When not working on the challenging forecast of the peninsula, Mike enjoys playing a round of golf, watching the latest action flick, rooting on his favorite sports teams, and discovering new places.
