Chopper 16 Pilot
Phillip McDowell is originally from Chincoteague, Va and just recently moved back to Delmarva after being away for several years. Phillip spent the last 22 years as a law enforcement officer in Virginia, Colorado and retired from law enforcement in Alaska.
Phillip earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the Central Christian College of Kansas and a master’s degree in aviation science from Everglades University in Florida. Phillip learned to fly several years ago and holds a commercial pilot certificate and is a certified flight instructor.
When Phillip isn’t flying Chopper 16 helping to gather the latest news story around Delmarva, he spends his free time fishing, exploring the outdoors, or traveling with his wife, Stephanie and their 4 children.
