Chopper 16 Pilot
Phillip McDowell is originally from Chincoteague, Va. and just recently moved back to Delmarva after being away for several years. Phillip spent the last 22 years as a law enforcement officer in Virginia, Colorado and retired from law enforcement in Alaska.
Phillip earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the Central Christian College of Kansas and a master’s degree in aviation science from Everglades University in Florida. Phillip learned to fly several years ago and holds a commercial pilot certificate from the FAA and is a certified flight instructor.
When Phillip isn’t flying Chopper 16 helping to gather the latest news story around Delmarva, he spends his free time fishing, boating, or exploring the great outdoors.
