Jack Chaffinch

Jack Chaffinch was a 50 year lifetime member and former chief engineer at the Blades Volunteer Fire Company. 

BLADES, DE– The Blades Volunteer Fire Company (BVFC) announced the passing of Lifetime Member and Former Chief Engineer Jack Chaffinch.

Chaffinch died Dec. 8 at Blades Fire Department at the age of 70, according to an obituary. 

He was a Sussex County native and 50-year member of BVFC. 

The Blades Fire Department will host a viewing Dec. 16 at 200 E. Fifth Street from noon to 1 p.m. followed by funeral services arranged by Cranston Funeral Home. 

Internment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford before a celebration of life at the fire department. 

Chaffinch's family asks those wanting to send flowers to instead donate to BVFC.
