REHOBOTH BEACH, DE - The celebration of The Sea Witch Festival Parade made its vibrant return today to the streets of Rehoboth Beach. Crowds gathered along Rehoboth Avenue to watch the parade and join the community event, bringing the Halloween and local community spirit to life.
Thousands of locals and visitors came for the parade with featured various themed floats and performances, put together by local groups, schools, and towns.
The event drew in enthusiastic supporters from the local community, like Michael Tinari, who praised the unity among the town.
“I love the fact that everyone is out here supporting the town, that’s the most important thing to me. It’s great to have this small town feeling here. Parade is fun, it’s interesting, lot of laughs, lots of fun, lots of kids – and a lot of dogs,” said Tinari.
And while the packed streets made it a bit difficult to get a good view, some planned ahead, like Jose and Alita Torres, who parked their truck on the street Monday in preparation. They say the long preparation is worth it to see their daughter so happy,
“I never got to do it as a kid, so you know, now that we have kids, you have to do the stuff you never got to do as a kid. That’s the big part of it right there,” said Jose.
The parade might have been a one-day event, but the festival will continue until tomorrow. The festivity will feature trick-or-treating, costume contests, beach games, and live entertainment, extending the Halloween fun until tomorrow night. The festival remains open to everyone who wants to join the Halloween celebrations at Rehoboth Beach.
