Cordova Pool Fire

CORDOVA, MD - The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating a late-night incendiary fire in Talbot County involving an in-ground pool.

According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, firefighters were called to Skipton Cordova Road in Cordova on Thursday just after midnight on reports of a fire on a vacant property. First responders arrived to find the fire had been set inside an in-ground pool on the property.

The Fire Marshal’s Office says multiple suspects were seen fleeing from the property.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to control the flames, and total damage is estimated at $5,000.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate and asks anyone with information to contact officials at 410-819-3500.
