Doris E. White, 100, passed away Friday, February 27, at the home of her daughter. Born in Wicomico County on May 13, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Willis H. Bratten and Mattie H. Parker. She was the wife of the late H. Elton White who died in 1988. She grew up on a large farm in Parsonsburg and was one of seven children, all of whom are now deceased. Her early years were spent working on the family farm, cooking for the large family and attending and graduating from high school.
