anelle Wood Brinck, 64, of Delmar, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, from complications of early-onset Parkinson's disease, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 5, 1961, in Seaford, Delaware, Janelle was the daughter of Howard and Jean Wood. She grew up on the Eastern Shore, where she developed the caring nature, resilience, and quiet strength that would define her life.
In 1983, at the age of 21, Janelle married the love of her life, Scott Brinck. Together they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and devotion, sharing more than four decades of marriage while raising their family.
At the age of 35, Janelle was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease. She faced the challenges of the disease with remarkable courage, determination, and grace for nearly three decades. Throughout her journey, she remained devoted to her family and inspired those around her with her perseverance and strength.
Janelle was a graduate of Goldey Beacom College and enjoyed a successful career as both a paralegal and secretary. She was respected for her professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering work ethic.
Above all else, Janelle cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Scott Brinck; her beloved children, Casie Brinck Webster (Dan) and Jameson Brinck; her treasured grandson, Harrison, who brought immeasurable joy to her life; her stepmother, Shirley Wood; her brothers, Randall Lee Wood (Deborah) and John Raymond Wood (Debbie); and her sister, Julia Wood Georges (Jim). She also leaves behind many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Janelle will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the courage with which she lived each day. Though Parkinson's disease changed many aspects of her life, it never defined who she was. Her resilience, compassion, and enduring love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janelle will be cremated in accordance with her wishes. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Foundation in Janelle's memory.
