Linda Kay Whitley-Husband, lovingly known as Linda, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Maryland at the age of 62. 

Born on April 17, 1964, in North Carolina, Linda carried with her the warmth, strength, and grace that would come to define her life. She was a woman whose presence left a lasting impression on those who knew her, and she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the steady kindness she shared with family and friends throughout her life. 

Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Queen Ella Whitley and the late father who preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife to Kendall Husband and a cherished mother to Cameo Whitley, Malika Whitley, Najah Husband, and Nasir Husband. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brandon Whitley. Linda found great joy in her role as grandmother, and she treasured each of her grandchildren, Conner Scye, Jahleil Whitley, Kenzo Jones, Bre'Elle Whitley, Jonas Williams, Jahcarri Jones, Rhyian Whitley, and Hayden Scott. She is also lovingly remembered by Sydney Whitley and by all who held her dear. 

Linda was a selfless, spirited, and passionate woman who gave her heart fully to the people and moments that mattered most to her. She worked at Dove Point, where she was respected for her dedication and dependable nature. Her work reflected the same care and commitment that she brought to every part of her life. She understood the value of hard work and carried herself with quiet strength and dignity. 

Outside of work, Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. She loved cooking and took pride in preparing meals with care. She kept her surroundings neat and comforting, and she found satisfaction in cleaning and creating a peaceful home. She enjoyed driving and going shopping, and she especially loved spending time with her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent sitting outside, enjoying nature and the beauty of the world around her. She also loved Michael Jackson and appreciated the joy and energy his music brought. 

Those who knew Linda will remember her for her generous spirit, her passionate heart, and the love she poured into her family. She had a way of making others feel seen and cared for, and her presence brought comfort and strength to those around her. Her life was a reflection of devotion, resilience, and love, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. 

Linda's family and friends will forever cherish the lessons she taught through her actions, her laughter, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Though her earthly journey has ended, the impact of her life remains deeply felt. Her legacy is one of love, family, and enduring devotion, and she will be remembered with affection and gratitude for all that she was.
