Rebecca Evans Wise (Becky), 78 passed away peacefully on July 18,2026. Becky was daughter of Willard P. Evans Jr., and Katherine Evans.
Becky graduated from Pocomoke High School and received a BS and Masters' degree from University of Maryland Nursing in Baltimore, MD. At the age of 24 Becky was the Head Nurse at the University of Maryland Institute of Psychiatry. She worked on Psychiatric Intake at Coney Island Hospital in NY. Later in Tampa FL. She did family therapy for cancer patients at UC Hospital.
Becky is survived by her husband of 55 years Edgar B. Wise, her two fur family members Evan and Brindle, nephews: Bill and Jeff Fineran, second cousin Doug Westfall. Becky was always grateful for Roger Richardson, her father's good friend and for farming her farms.
A visitation to honor the life of Becky will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at First Baptist Cemetery, 2240 Old Snow Hill Road, Pocomoke City, MD 21851 at 1:30PM.
