Richard Wayne Hawes, lovingly known as Dick or simply "D," passed away surrounded by love on June 7, 2025, in Salisbury, Maryland. Born on September 24, 1949, in Front Royal, Virginia, Dick was the son of Thomas Junior and Thelma Louise Hawes. After graduating from high school, he proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. Following his service, he returned home and earned his college degree through the GI Bill, an achievement he cherished.
