Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Durham, 79, of Pocomoke, Maryland, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on August 19, 2026. Born on June 12, 1947, Ronnie will be remembered for his generous heart, willingness to help others, and fun-loving spirit.
Ronnie was the devoted husband to his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary Evelyn. He loved her deeply and took great pride in caring for and supporting her. His family was his greatest source of joy, and he treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, James Troy and Ronald Duane Durham (Amber Denny); his daughter, Della Parenteau (Brent); and his six grandsons, Mason Denny, Gavin Grace, Liam Durham, Colby Cohen, and Tyler Parenteau.
A natural teacher, Ronnie, shared his knowledge and love of cars with his children and grandchildren while also passing along lessons about life. He was someone his family could always depend on. He especially enjoyed watching the Orioles and talking baseball with his grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish.
For more than four decades, Ronnie proudly owned Ronnie's Garage, serving generations of people in his community. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows with friends. Whether at his garage or elsewhere, helping others came naturally to Ronnie, and he was always ready to lend a hand.
Ronnie also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He was often the first to tell a joke or find a way to put a smile on someone's face. His kindness, generosity, and hard-work touched countless lives.
Ronnie was the son of the late Paul and Geneva Durham. He is survived by his sisters, Paulette Durham and Donna Parks, and was preceded in death by his siblings: Francis Wright, and Bobby, Paula, Billy, and Paul Durham Jr.
While Ronnie will be profoundly missed, the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the kindness he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those lucky enough to know him.
A visitation will be held at Holloway Funeral Home, 107 Vine St. Pocomoke City, MD 21857 on Friday, August 28, 2026, starting at 1PM followed by a service.
