Willard James Beauchamp

Willard James Beauchamp, Sr., 92, of Pocomoke City, died at his home on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Born on November 28, 1932, he was the only son of Willie James and Gladys M. Beauchamp. Willard grew up in the Stockton/Snow Hill area and then moved to the farm at Beaver Dam near Pocomoke City when he was 13 years old. It was here that his love of farming began. Willard graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1951, being a member of the first class that had to attend school for 12 years instead of the 11 years required prior to that, a fact that caused him much displeasure, and he still talked about this misfortune 74 years later.
