William (Bill) West of Snow Hill passed away at home on November 11, 2025. Born on January 3, 1949 the son of Mary Nock West and William F. West, Sr. of Snow Hill. After graduation in 1967 he worked with his father farming until he left to proudly serve in the United States Army where he was stationed in Berlin Germany from 1969-1971, and then spent four years in the reserves after returning home. From 1972 to 1986 he worked as a farm manager of Tyndall Farms. These were some of his best years spending his days in the field in a John Deere tractor. He later worked for Choptank Electric and rose to the level of chief lineman over his 20 years serving Berlin/Pocomoke districts. Bill took pride in anything he did and preached perfection to fellow lineman as the only standard to be met. Folks knew exactly what "Putting some Hollywood on it" meant when Bill said it; hard work and a job well done should be celebrated.
