Celebration Church, in central TX announced they are expanding their outreach

GEORGETOWN, Texas — July 13, 2026 - Celebration Church, a multi-campus congregation serving Central Texas, today announced the continued growth of its Outreach ministry, a network of volunteer-led programs dedicated to serving communities across the region. The ministry connects church members with hands-on opportunities to support incarcerated individuals, senior citizens, and families affected by disaster, both locally and abroad.

According to Celebration Church, outreach is central to the congregation's identity. Lori Champion, who leads the ministry, describes the philosophy in simple terms: outreach is not an occasional project but a defining characteristic of the church community.

The Outreach ministry is organized around three primary areas of service.

Each week, volunteer teams bring worship services and fellowship inside correctional facilities throughout Central Texas, including local county, state, federal, and ICE detention facilities. Services are offered in both English and Spanish, giving incarcerated men and women the opportunity to encounter their faith, build community, and find encouragement while serving their sentences.

Through regular visits and organized activities at local senior care facilities, the Senior Friends program honors older generations in the community. Volunteers spend time building relationships with residents, offering companionship, and celebrating the wisdom of those who came before them.

Celebration Church's Disaster Response team prepares in advance for community crises by assembling supplies, training volunteer teams, and forming partnerships with local organizations. When disaster strikes, these teams provide community cleanup, specialized skilled labor, supply distribution, and crisis care for affected families.

Celebration Church is inviting members of the community, whether currently attending the church or not, to join an existing outreach project or to propose a new one. Individuals interested in serving can sign up through the church's Outreach page, and those with ideas for new initiatives are encouraged to submit a project proposal directly to the ministry team.
