L.A. Loc & Crown is excited to welcome the community back for its signature festival on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This one day celebration brings together people from across Southern California to honor locs, natural hair, Black creativity, entrepreneurship, and culture in an uplifting and family friendly environment.
Taking place at The Beehive in Los Angeles from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the festival will feature Black owned businesses, live DJs, a creative Hair Show competition, photo opportunities, interactive experiences, and entertainment for all ages. Guests can shop with local vendors, connect with creators, enjoy live performances, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of the Black community.
L.A. Loc & Crown was founded by Christy with the vision of creating a space where people feel seen, inspired, and connected. What started as a passion for celebrating Locs, and natural hair has grown into a community event that highlights small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs while creating meaningful experiences for attendees.
I created LA Loc & Crown because I saw that Los Angeles didn't have a festival dedicated to brining the loc community together. Our community is incredibly supportive, creative, and down to earth, and I wanted to create a space where we could celebrate one another, support Black owned businesses, and simply enjoy being together. It is a celebration of who we are, our culture, and the stories we carry. My hope is that everyone who attends leaves feeling inspired, connected, and proud of who they are.
One of the festivals featured attractions is the L.A. Loc & Crown Hair Show, where talented hairstylists will compete in a live runway showcase. Their work will be judged on creativity, originality, technique, style, stage presence, and how they bring their vision to life.
Whether you wear locs, natural curls, braids, twists, or simply enjoy celebrating culture and community, L.A. Loc & Crown welcomes everyone to be part of this unforgettable experience.
