ADS announces working with New Hope Integrated Behavioral Health Care with AI tools aimed at improving documentation efficiency.

PARAMUS, NJ, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Advanced Data Systems Corporation (ADSC) today announced that it is working with New Hope Integrated Behavioral Health Care (NHIBHC), a CARF-accredited nonprofit serving adults and adolescents across Central New Jersey, on AI tools aimed at improving documentation efficiency within the MedicsCloud EHR.

The work builds on a multi-year collaboration between the two organizations. NHIBHC treats substance use, gambling, and co-occurring mental health disorders across a fully integrated continuum of care, delivered through multiple residential and outpatient facilities. Its clients move between levels of care as their needs change, which is the point at which most electronic records fragment.

"Clients move between care levels, and the medical record has to move with them so there is accurate clarity on who did what where and when. Get that wrong and it can impact care" say Tony Comerford, PHD, the Chief Executive Officer of New Home Integrated Behavioral Healthcare.

Rather than adapt an off-the-shelf configuration, ADSC development teams met directly with NHIBHC clinicians and compliance staff to map what could and could not be applied across a continuum of records. With that map in place, ADSC walked the organization through every agreed change before go live and delivered on the promised schedule. The result is a system in which admissions, clinical, medical, psychiatry, and billing all work from the same client record, at every site.

In a July 31 letter to ADSC, Comerford wrote that the collaboration reflected the expertise of the ADSC development team and a willingness to listen and understand what NHIBHC needed in an EMR, and that removing duplication from operations returns time that can be devoted toclient care.

Comerford also cited a support episode as representative of the relationship. NHIBHC flagged client documentation that had been filed under the wrong program, and rebuilding it would have reset signature dates the organization could not afford to lose. Rather than hand the problem back, ADSC moved the records by hand to preserve the documentation intact. Comerford identified that dedication to reaching the needed outcome as the greatest value ADSC offers.

That foundation is what the AI work now rests on. In his letter, Comerford described exploring the new tools with a partner his organization has learned to trust as something that makes the process easy and quite frankly fun.

"While I do not endorse an organization lightly, I can recommend ADS without reservation and it will be my pleasure to speak more about our work together with anyone with an interest," says Comerford.

David Barzillai, Founder and President of ADSC, said: "Behavioral health organizations carry a documentation burden that most of healthcare never sees, and the hard part has never been any single note. It is what happens when a client moves between levels of care. You cannot solve that from a product roadmap. You solve it by sitting with the clinicians who document in the system every day, which is what our team did here. What means the most to me in Dr. Comerford's letter is that his team always knows who is on the other end. Continuity of people who know an account, over years, is the whole company."
